Grave digging by hand.
Our graves are hand dug for families. Last week was the first time we used Ingrid and Ray and they are coming back this week. Here are some photos.
Hand dug graves maybe seem to be an old fashioned method of ground preparation but to have a minimal environmental impact, it is the best way. Ingrid and Ray had not dug at a Natural Burial site before but had dug many graves on private land before. It was good to hear some of the stories they had about grave digging.
Beer Cross takes great care to minimise the environmental impact of a burial and hand dug graves are moving us in the right direction to become as carbon neutral as possible.
